Legal madness

I recently purchased a new tool and took a quick look at the instruction manual to check if there was anything unusual I needed to know about how to use it. Below are pictures of a couple of pages from the manual. Can you guess what kind of tool it is based on all the WARNINGs? (Answer below)

Was this a table saw? A wood chipper? A chainsaw? Some piece of medical equipment that could cause bodily harm if misused?

No, it was a simple stick vacuum cleaner.

There are literally 3 short paragraphs about how to put it together and operate it, and multiple pages of scary warnings cooked up by lawyers worried about lawsuits by people who do something like blow out the dust collection bowl with a high pressure air hose and get dirt in their eyes because they weren’t wearing protective goggles. Crazy town!
